Building on this well-established positioning in the commercial maritime and naval defence sectors, PACIFIC2010 will consolidate its expanding coverage of maritime security.
In addition to the Royal Australian Navy’s Sea Power Conference and the engineering-focused Pacific International Maritime Conference, PACIFIC2010 will now feature a series of international symposia dealing with maritime security, defence technology and autonomous systems.
Collectively referred to as PacSec2010, these crucially relevant symposia will canvass currently topical issues, as well as recent developments in policy, technology and systems in the vital area of maritime security (both civil and military).
Featuring a variety of distinguished Australian and international speakers, PacSec2010 will incorporate three concurrent symposia:
- Maritime & Port Security
- Autonomous Maritime Surveillance Systems
- Maritime Defence Technology (under-sea and abovewater sensor integration)
These complementary topics will provide a unique forum for the discussion of shared issues and common applications across both the civil and military sectors of maritime security. In addition, they will present a special opportunity to examine the potential utilisation of defence developed technologies in the civil maritime security environment.
In the interest of facilitating the exchange of information and ideas amongst industry executives, government officials, military officers, agency professionals and the scientific community, each PacSec2010 symposium will be open to registered visitors and delegates at PACIFIC2010 free of charge.
The PacSec2010 symposia will be complemented by a focused sector specific exhibition precinct at PACIFIC2010.
This new Security and Autonomous Surveillance Systems Showcase and the PacSec2010 Symposia will attract participants from around the world, as well as displays of the latest developments in maritime security and autonomous surveillance systems, underwater detection and defence technology.
PacSec2010 will be a unique professional and networking opportunity, appealing to both the civil and military sectors of maritime security.
Incorporating the PacSec2010 series of security, defence technology and autonomous surveillance systems symposia, the PACIFIC 2010 International Maritime Exposition will be the essential maritime security forum for the Asia Pacific region.
