Accommodation and Travel
Sydney offers an extensive amount of accommodation options for visitors to Pacific 2010. Visitors choosing to stay in and around Darling Harbour will be within walking distance of the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages can be purchased for on stand consumption via the catering department at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

If alcohol is being served on stand, an Exhibitor with a NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate must be present or a hired member of Centre staff with the same.
Audio Visual Equipment, Office Equipment and Computer Equipment

Automatic Teller Machine (ATM)
An Automatic Teller Machine is located in the Hall 3 Foyer.
Business Centre
On the upper level of the Bayside Lounge is the Bayside Business centre, which is a fully equipped business centre exclusively for delegates and exhibitors. Services available include photocopying, printing, facsimile, laminating, scanning, stationery, computer and internet access, wireless internet cards, workstation access, cd burning and conference calls. The business centre coordinator can be contacted on +61 2 9282 5000.The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre also maintain an Exhibitors Services Desk in the foyer of Hall 5. Exhibitors are able to order services such as food and beverage, communication lines and equipment, water and waste facilities and compressed air. Forms and payment are required prior to the event to ensure services are delivered. Forms can be downloaded from the SCEC website www.scec.com.au under the downloads section. A number of other services are available including basic business needs including photocopying and facsimile (including pre and post event) for a small fee. Exhibitors can also hire/purchase electrical equipment (power leads, power boards), gas cylinder refills, wheelchairs, photocopiers and basic stationery supplies.
CafE
A café will be located at the Rear of Hall 5 serving hot and cold food, sandwiches, snacks and beverages. It will operate Monday to Friday during the event period from approximately 1000 hours to 1600 hours daily (until 1500 on Friday). Seating is available.
Car Parking
Car Parking is available beneath the Exhibition Halls on a user pays basis for up to 900 vehicles. Rates are set on an hourly basis up to a maximum of four hours, after which a full day rate is applicable. Parking for the disabled is available throughout the length of the car park (north-east and south-east corners). Lift access to the Convention and Exhibition Centres is from Sections 1 and 5 of the car park. There are also a number of other public car park areas within the vicinity of the Darling Harbour area. Catering
On stand catering is available to all exhibitors. Please contact Emma Rutledge from the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre via email erutledge@scec.com.au or phone 02 9282 5089 for further information and menus. Exhibitors are responsible for any costs incurred for catering.
Cleaning Services
Basic cleaning services will be available at no cost to Exhibitors for their stands during the Event period. Any additional cleaning (including models etc) can be requested to the Exhibitor Services Desk in the foyer of Hall 5 and is at an additional cost.
Conferences

Corporate Hospitality
Apart from on stand catering and there will not be any corporate hospitality available at Pacific 2010. Darling Harbour and its surrounds house many high quality restaurants who would be happy to accommodate any of your needs for entertaining corporate clients.
Courier Service
Exhibitors wishing to use a courier service during the period of the show will need to contact the Organisers for directions on courier site access. The Exhibitors Services Desk, located in the foyer of Hall 5, can organise courier services on behalf of an exhibitor or visitor.
Facsimile
A Facsimile service, including send and receive, is available from the Exhibitors Services Desk located in the foyer of Hall 5 for a nominal fee or the business centre on the upper level of the Bayside Lounge.
First Aid
First Aid is available at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Service. Please contact the Exhibitor Services Desk located in the foyer of Hall 5 for further assistance. The Organisers have several staff proficient in Senior Level First Aid and can also be of assistance for minor injuries.
Florist
The Organisers will be happy to recommend florists within the Darling Harbour area for supply to an exhibitors stand. The Organisers will also be able to assist with delivery and site access.
Logistics
An Official Supplier of Logistics and Freight Forwarding will be appointed for Pacific 2010. Details will be posted here as soon as available.
Media/Media Centre
A comprehensive media centre is located in the rear of Hall 6, including phone, fax and high speed data lines. Media wishing to attend Pacific 2010 will need to be accredited to attend the event and gain access to the media centre. Meeting Rooms
The Organiser will attempt to make available a number of meeting rooms to cater for Exhibitors wishing to hold private meetings or conduct product briefings during the Event.
The cost of meeting room hire is to be confirmed in late 2009. Meeting Rooms can be hired for a two hour minimum block. For further enquiries, please contact our Sales Team expo@amda.com.au

Organisers Office
The Organisers will be based in their Avalon office until the move in period for Pacific 2010 where they will be located until the close of move out at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. Contact phone and fax numbers will be advised. Emails can still be forwarded to the individual or via the main email address expo@amda.com.au
Photocopying
A photocopying service is available from the Exhibitors Services Desk located in the foyer of Hall 5 for a nominal fee or the Bayside Business Lounge located on the upper level of the Bayside Lounge.
Restaurants
The Darling Harbour precinct houses many fine restaurants within walking distance of the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Organiser will be happy to recommend dining experiences for you.
Rigging
A rigging service is available to exhibitors. Any rigging required must be included in the exhibitors stand design and submitted to the Organiser prior to build. Security
The Organiser in conjunction with The Centre provides 24 hour security at the Pacific 2010 Event. For further information and detail, please contact the Organiser.
Taxi Rank
A taxi rank is located outside Convention Centre Bayside. Taxi’s can be called from the Centre information desk inside the foyer area of Convention Centre Bayside.
Telephone, Fax or Modem Lines
Exhibitors wishing to install telephone, fax and high speed data lines onto their stand can do so by contacting the Exhibitors Services Desk located in the foyer outside Hall 5. Phone handsets are provided. Fax machines are available at an additional cost to the Exhibitor.
Toilets
Toilets are located at the rear of Halls 4 and 5 and on the mezzanine level of Halls 4 and 5. Toilets are also located in the foyer area of all Hall entrances.
Trade Directory
Each exhibitor is entitled to an entry into the trade directory free of charge. Trade Directories are distributed by the Organiser to Exhibitors on the first day of the show and are available to trade visitors free of charge at the registration desk during the Event.
Trade Registration
Visitors are required to register as a trade visitor to attend the Pacific 2010 Event. Registration desks are located at the front of Halls 4 and 5. Pre-registration will be available online, click here for further information. Pre-registration for the 2010 Event will open late 2009.
Transport
The Centre is conveniently located close to the monorail, train, light rail, bus and ferry systems operating in and around Sydney. The Organisers and the Centre Information Desk will be only too happy to assist you with further information.
Water/Waste Management
The Centre can provide the services of water and waste management to Exhibitors wishing to employ them on their stands. Please contact the Exhibitors Services Desk located in the foyer of Hall 5 for further information. |
